Helmet Selfie….The best kind of selfie if you live in Cambo. Why….helmet hair is never pretty!

What is this blog about??  In all honesty, I wish I could outline a specific description that reaches deeper than the tagline ” Adventures of one big idiot!”, but I can’t.  I started writing this blog when I moved to Cambodia. It has sorta shaped and refined itself as events unfold in my new life.  I was wanting a creative outlet as well as a way for friends and family to see a little bit of what I see. Too bad you can’t hear what I hear and smell what I smell here….but for now, I hope all of you who peek at this site now and again enjoy the craziness as much as I do!!!

Hi Sarah and Abby. I got the link to your blog yesterday from reading Lexi’s blog in Thailand. I read half yesterday and the rest this morning. I literally could not stop laughing….all by myself at home. I don’t care what anyone else thinks, I think your jokes are hysterical!! No need to lose a leg to be inspirational though. I have the utmost respect for the two of you and am thoroughly impressed seeing such wholehearted service to Jehovah in your youth. I sent the link to my brother and sister in law serving as need greeters in Panama so they will be following you also.

I was in Thailand about 10 years ago but have never made it to Cambodia. I had no idea it was so different. So please keep up the good work in your ministry and educating us in the fascinating cultural differences. My prayers are with you both

    • Hi! Thank you so much! That means a lot to us both! Also, thanks for clicking over to this blog! I think it is so awesome how so many people from all over the world, literally, follow and can enjoy the craziness together…..like one big happy family 🙂 hope you bro and sis inlaw enjoy it as well!

Hi! Just subscribed to your hilarious blog… 🙂 Me and my husband have been “need greating”/”betheleering” for the past 8 years in a foreign country (well, foreign to us ha ha) Would it be possible to get in touch and interview you about Cambodia via email? In your blog you make it look so doable! Crazy, but doable! Thanks a lot for such encouraging reading!

    Hey Sarah,

My husband & I have been enjoying your blog so much! I stumbled across it accidentally really. Well, a click here, a click there, Instagram comments from a friend of a friend, this & that & whaddya know! I’m addicted to this thing!

It cracks me up so histerically that my husband was worried about my random outbursts of laughter for a while until I decided to share this awesomeness with him. (He also thinks it’s amazing!) I honestly think that it’s the best blog I’ve enjoyed simply for the hilarity of it. Each time I read it, I’m thinking, I SO have the same humor as theses sisters, it’s weird!

It all makes me want to visit Cambodia & enjoy all the craziness that it provides! The first thing I said after I had read a few posts was, “I seriously have to go to Cambodia just to meet these sisters, they are my heros!”

I’m sure you get a million questions & possibly about the same things all the time, but I’m curious to know a few things about your stay there. It’s a place that we would really love to visit some day. We’ll be a hop, skip & a jump over in Nepal if you ever want to visit! We’re always happy to have entertaining guests 😉

If it’s not too much trouble, would I be able to ask you & your sister some things about Cambodia? I figure it’s an easier way then writing back & forth over the blog….

    Take care my sisters!

    • I never stop being amazed at who comes across this blog! Thanks for taking the time to comment too! It’s nice to know there is someone else out there with the same crazy head as me 🙂

Sarah. I love you blog. I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed reading it. I totally understand so much of your experience and crack up at the way you can put it into words. I am sorry I did not see you when you were home. Wishing you and Abby the very best and keep on writing. Leslie

    • Thanks so much Leslie!! I am so happy to hear you enjoy and actually ” understand” my ramble! It’s so much fun to share and great to get the feed back. And ps….hopefully we will get a chance to see you next time we are back in Canada 🙂
